Cutty Sark joins Edrington
Cutty Sark whisky has a new owner, the Edrington Group. The final paperwork was signed on April the 1st and the Cutty Sark brand will now join the Edrington portfolio.
The Edrington Group has long standing relationships with Berry Bros & Rudd, which includes the deal in which Berry Bros & Rudd market and distribute the Glenrothes single malt brand.
This move can be seen as fulfilling the potential of the Cutty Sark brand as Edrington has key distribution links in countries which are also a key market for Cutty Sark - markets such as Greece and Spain.
