Glen Garioch Founder's Reserve 48%

Founders Reserve is the first release in a new line from Glen Garioch. It is non-chillfiltered and is released at a higher strength of 48%.

Nose: Toffee, vanilla, Brambles and green gauges. Blood oranges, raisins and spicy European oak.

Palate: Oily, rich and spicy. Coffee beans, berry fruits and lots of vanilla.

Interesting facts on Glen Garioch:

Located in the North-East Scottish town of Old Meldrum.

One of Scotland's oldest distilleries. A distillery on the same site was mentioned in a newspaper article as far back as 1785.

Glen Garioch was officialy founded in 1797.

Owned by Morrison Bowmore, who are subsidary of the Japanese firm Suntory.

A new visitor centre was opened in 2005.
