Nose: Very mild, soft and rich. Lot's of sherry and brazil nuts, milk chocolate. Touch of smoke. Very balanced.

Palate: Round and smooth, sweet sherry, raisins and ginger spice.

Finish: Nutty with orange peel in the finish

Intersting facts on Glenfarclas:

Founded in 1836 by Robert Hay at Ballindalloch. Bought by the Grant family in 1865 and has stayed in the same family ever since. Now managed and operated by the 6th generation.

Operates 6 large stills, probably the largest on Speyside. Produces 3 million litres of spirit per annum.
