Whiskies Of Scotland and Runrig rock out at Scone Palace
Scone Palace, the crowning site of the King's of Scotland. A place full of mystery and history and the home of the Stone of Destiny...
A great place for holding your Homecoming concert and thats exactly what Runrig, Scotland's premier Celtic rock band did on the 29th of August. The all day concert featured a great supporting cast including the Peat Bog Faeries and King Creasote. Carrying on the Scottish theme, Whiskies Of Scotland also were there with our very own whisky marquee. In attendence in the marquee were some of the whisky industries most celebrated distillers and one of Scotland's best loved brewers. The marquee kicked off just as the first support bands took and soon the crowds had massed outside ready to get in to sample some whiskies. Everyone was given a few guitar pick tokens to exchange for a free dram and the novel idea went down very well, so did the free drams! As Runrig took the stage the party started and by the time the last few chords of Loch Lomond were strummmed everone could agree that it was a great end to a great day. Whiskies Of Scotland would like to thank all Runrig fans and Whisky fans who attended and all of the exhibitors who supported and helped with the marquee - Angus Dundee Distillers, Arran Distillers, Benriach Distillery Company, Brands Development, Duncan Taylor, Glenfarclas Distillers, Inveralmond Brewery, Morrison Bowmore Distillers and Springbank Distillers.
