Carsebridge started its life as a malt distillery and it wasn't until 1852 that grain was produced. It was greatly expanded in the following years and boasted a 70-foot high kiln and 80-foot square wash charger. It was acquired by DCL in 1966 and they added a third Coffey still and a dark grains plant but its life was relatively uneventful until its closure in 1983. The site has now been demolished and used as a business park
