Killyloch distillery shared the same complex as Glen Flagler distillery at the ex-Moffat Paper Mills. It was built in 1964 to produce whisky for the American blended market. The distillery only spanned a decade; one of the shortest-lived distilleries in Scotland a feat it shares with Glen Flagler, after the demand for blended whisky grew smaller in the US in the late 1970's.
