Loch Lomond is the last distillery in Scotland to produce both malt and grain whisky on its premises. Several different types of whisky can also be produced at Loch Lomond. This is possible because they use Lomond stills equipped with rectifying plates in the still head, which allows varying the whisky character and broadening the range. As well as producing Loch Lomond single malt, Old Rhosdhu, peated Craiglodge, Inchmurrin and Inchmoan are produced. Loch Lomond was built in 1965 and was purchased by Glen Catrine Bonded Warehouse Ltd, headed by Alexander Bulloch in 1985.
