The Bruichladdich Distillery Company

Gordon Wright, Simon Coughlin and Mark Renier, who created the name by using the names of his grandparents, founded Murray McDavid in 1995. Murray McDavid acquired Bruichladdich distillery on Islay in 2000 and moved their bottling operation to there. All the bottlings are reduced using Islay water, thus giving Speyside whiskies for example an Islay twist. Murray McDavid does no chilfiltering or colouring of any kind to their whiskies. They developed a unique programme for the Murray McDavid range called ACE (Additional Cask Evolution), which they claim, refines their whisky further.
