Compare the Independent Bottlers

(01/05/10)

How do you rate Scotland's Independent bottlers? Who's the best? Find out at this vertical tasting of two of Speyside's better distilleries.

See (or taste) for yourself who out there is bottling above their weight!! At "Whiskies of Scotland", home of www.singlemaltsdirect.com we are not biased (except with our "Whiskies of Scotland" label which has to pass Ronnie's nose test before we even consider bottling) as we stock Independent bottlings from all of the "Big Guns" - Duncan Taylor, Adelphi, Douglas Laing, Murray McDavid, Gordon & MacPhail, Berry Bros. Regis Whisky Mad, Carn Mor, McKillop's etc.

This vertical tasting will compare 4 expressions from two prominent Speyside distilleries like Glenrothes, Glenfarclas, Glenlivet or Glen Grant. Ronnie Routledge, who's a "Keeper of the Quaich" and whisky judge for Scottish Field magazine will decide which bottlings will qualify a few weeks prior to the event, depending what's available on the marketplace.

This tasting contains a lot of drams, four expressions from two distilleries i.e. 8 drams, so please drink sensibly!

16 places available per event. £20.00 per head. ~
Start time: 16.00 (Duration 1.5 hours)
